PLEASE help me train my dog?

I just adopted a 1 year old Lab mix and he is VERY stout. He likes to jump on you and when I try to walk him on a leash he tends to "walk me"!! He just drags me around and jumps on me all the time. He does not jump on my husband. Please help me!!! If you have any suggestions on how to train him NOT to jump and to walk with me and not ahead of me please let me know!!!!!!!
