Mid 80 riding snapper mower?

i have a older snapper mower that wont start...i dont think is the carb because after i removed the plug after 8 pulls and the plugs was getting wet with gas...also new plug...what i notice was that when i pull start it i see a spark coming a thru the engine by the wire ( i cantreally see where exacly the spark is coming from because the pull start device covers it but its by the wire for sure....my question is how can i remove the flywheel ...thanks
